Counselling

Registered Clinical Counsellor #21846

I work with folks from diverse backgrounds and experiences, exploring how we are shaped by our personal, cultural, and systemic contexts. I prioritize safety, consent, as well as me bringing my own humanity into the room so that our work together can feel collaborative and empowered. To me, this is what true relational and trauma-informed therapy requires. I offer therapy that values your emotional experience, is body-centred, and feminist, and I strive to fully step into this work in a compassionate and de-pathologizing way.

I have training in a variety of experiential therapies including AEDP, IFS, and mindfulness-based practices. My relationship counselling is informed by the Gottman Method and Emotion-Focused Therapy, as well as feminist and anti-oppressive praxis.

Some more of the frameworks that inform my practice include: -Intersectional feminist and queer-affirming perspectives -Interpersonal neurobiology and attachment theory (how our relationships shape us, past and present) -Somatic psychology (body-based tools for healing) -Mindfulness and self-compassion -Parts work (internal family systems and AEDP informed) -Harm reduction -Neurodiversity-affirming care

  • please note that I offer sliding scale and encourage this conversation as needed.
